So I’ve Read a Great Book, What do I Do Next?

So, you’ve bought (and read) my book–or any book for that matter–thanks SO much! Wondering what you can do now? I’m so glad you asked…

  • Write an honest review and post it on reliable and well-read websites. For helpful tips on writing good reviews, visit this website. Some good places to post reviews are:

    • Personal blogs etc.
  • Consider buying a copy and donating a book to your local library or church library.
  • Copies of the novel can also make great presents!
  • Like and follow me on all my social media pages. It’s the way of the future and a way to get the word out about the novel.

Starting the Journey: Self-Publishing

By an overwhelming majority, it looks as though the final book title will be Secret Scars. Thanks to everyone who voted, emailed and discussed this title with me. It’s been quite a process. This particular book is the first I ever wrote, and I started when I was 16…that said this book has undergone quite a facelift since the first time I began to write it. I’m really

excited about where it ended up and hope you’ll be too.

So the million dollar question is…when will it be published? Great question! I have never self-published anything, so I thought I’d chronicle that process on the blog and get your opinions and feedback as I go. That way, I’m not in it alone. There are many reasons why I decided to go the self-publishing road, but at the forefront is because of a vision God gave me last year. This is just one step in that vision and I will keep you posted as I continue down that path!

In the meantime, my current goal is to have the book PUBLISHED by October! So mark it on your calendars–we will see where it ends up.

My next step is to set up the LLC for my self-publishing process. If anyone is familiar with this process I’d love to buy you coffee as  I pick your brain a bit. Just send me a shout out :). I’ll be tip-toeing my way through this process because 1) it’s new and 2) I want to do it right.

The second step is to design a book cover. Again, not in my storehouse of skills, so if anyone has suggestions for the cover, I’m HAPPY to hear them! The original design I have doesn’t work for the title or for the final content.

Thanks for joining me on this journey! My next “write it” post will be all about my process of setting up the LLC.
